The University of Palestine, established in 2000, is a private university in Gaza City offering programmes in medicine, engineering, business, and law. It housed distinguished faculty including Dr. Ahmed al-Dalou (Dean of Medicine) and Dr. Ahmed Abu Absa (Dean of Engineering), both killed during the conflict. It was one of Gaza's newer institutions with modern facilities.
